| Abstract |
This document is a memo in which the author describes the relationship of the German Christian Churches to Hitler after 1933. Von Schlabrendorff's main concern is to attest to the role the Christian Churches played in the resistance to Hitler and the Nazis. He names Catholic and Protestant church leaders who were especially prominent in the resistance movement, and concludes that they and others like them educated the general population about the necessity and possibility of resistance. This document is a single-spaced typewritten original of excellent quality on slightly browning paper in stable condition. |
