| Abstract |
This section comprises three documents relating to a Fuehrer Order, originally issued in 1942 and reissued in 1944, concerning the policy of executing Allied commandos. The order has been reissued after the Normandy landings and is intended to apply to "All members of terrorist and sabotage groups, including in principle all parachutists, encountered outside the immediate fighting zone" (final page). No surrenders are to be accepted; no commandos are to be spared. The penalty for disobeying these orders is court-martial. These documents are good-quality, typewritten carbon copies on slightly browning, stable paper. |
