About the Guide:

In the years since Cornell Law Library launched the first Annotated Foreign and International Guide to the Internet, several reputable web sites that offer similar information have been developed. Rather than duplicate the information readily accessible elsewhere online, the Law Library revised the Foreign Law Sites portion of the guide to focus on Cornell's collections while remaining useful resource for researchers in general.

  1. Every country entry in Foreign Law Sites recommends the same four general starting points specific to that country:

  2. A new subsection is "Resources at Cornell Law Library." The print and online resources are listed in reverse chronological order.

  3. Another new subsection, "Guides and Other Resources" provides links to recent academic guides to foreign legal research and to other helpful resources, such as Lexis and Westlaw. The guides are presented in reverse chronological order, with Lexis and Westlaw listed last.

This resource is a work in progress. Please email me with if you have comments or suggestions on additional materials to include.

I would like to express my thanks to my assistants, Christine Brown and Sian Allen, for their dedication and hard work on this project.
