CORNELL LAW LIBRARY
SERVICES - Student Services: SAIL INTO SUMMER 2005
Sail into Summer is an annual program presented by the Law Library that prepares law students to succeed in their summer jobs. Recognizing that students will be working for law firms, public interest organizations, government agencies, judges, and professors, Sail into Summer events focus on how to conduct legal research in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Welcome aboard Sail into Summer 2005

Research Appointments

Will you be working in California? Illinois? Will you be working in a specific area, such as bankruptcy or environmental law? Arrive at your job ready to start! Request an appointment with a Research Attorney to review resources that you will be using during the summer. Request Forms at the Circulation Desk in the Reading Room or use our Research Appointments Web Form at the Law Library web page.

The Research Appointment covers whatever the student requests. Most students seek a quick review of basic research techniques, an overview of resources in a specific jurisdiction, or an introduction to practice materials in a specialized area.

Appointments can be scheduled with a specific Research Attorney or by a general request that will be assigned to the librarian best qualified to discuss the area of research of interest to the student. Students will receive a packet of materials to use over the summer and assurance that help is just a phone call or email away.
