Contents: "Treaty on Good Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation between the Slovak Republic and the Republic of Hungary" (1995) is a pledge of friendly relations and cooperation with international law. The two countries agree to assist one another with integration into the European Union, NATO, and the Western European Union; pledge cooperation in science and technology, cultural activities, and education. Includes extensive section on the rights of national minorities, especially ethnic Slovaks and Hungarians residing in each other's countries. Appended is a statement by the Slovak government rejecting any interpretation of minority rights which would support the creation of autonomous political self-governing bodies.
