Contents: In 1996 the Egyptian Health Ministry banned this practice in public hospitals, but a year later the ban was reserved by the Cairo Adminstrative Court as well as the Egyptian Council of State. The European Parliament resolution condemns this judicial decision and calls upon European Union member states to prosecute practitioners in those countries, and urges action by the Egyptian government and UNICEF.
