Contents: This site appears to be inactive at this time (7/30/2008). Lewis Rose is a partner for the law firm Arent Fox Kintner Plotkin & Kahn in Washington, D.C. This is part of the firm's web site. It gives the user much information on advertising and the work of the Federal Trade Commission. The top page is divided into four parts: U.S. advertising (marketing) law; links to other internet marketing/advertising law sites; a discussion forum on advertising law and related topics (registration required); and information about the site (mostly administrative, e.g., attribution). The first part gives both law and analysis on various issues of marketing and advertising and may be considered a good introduction into the areas of law upon which it writes. Updating regimen is unclear and some parts seem to have been neglected recently (e.g., the FTC brochures reproduced at this site seem to have been collected in 1995 and untouched since then). A recent FTC brochure on advertising on the Internet is absent here, although it would seem to be a natural selection for inclusion.
