Contents: The Global Internet Liberty Campaign (GILC) aims to prohibit prior censorship or restriction of online communication, while preserving civil liberties and human rights on the Internet. The GILC website provides current news, statements, reports, and links to international organizations relating to free speech, privacy, access, and cryptography. Statements and reports address topics such as Internet access in Central and Eastern Europe, licensing of Internet Service Providers in Bulgaria, and DVDs. GILC Alert, the Campaign newsletter, is offered full-text from October 1997 to the present. Organizational actions, events, and press releases are available as is an open discussion list. |
