Contents: The Violence Against Women Office is an agency of the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs. Material on its community programs is posted in the form of model programs and numerous reports and bulletins (available in text or PDF). The website contains a selection of federal laws and regulations pertaining to violence against women and girls, such as the text of Megan's Law, and INS guidelines for assessing the needs of battered immigrant women (taken from the Federal Register and CFR), as well as Dept. of Justice research and statistical publications on domestic violence, workplace violence, and elder and child abuse.
