Contents: COPPA.org is a commercial enterprise that provides a resource center for website owners who must comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). This site contains an extensive FAQ about what the COPPA is and to whom it pertains. It contains links to the full text of relevant CFR sections, Federal Trade Commission consent agreements regarding online privacy, and news articles about the COPPA. One of the most useful resources this page offers is the full text of proposed industry self-regulatory initiatives, or “safe harbor” proposals, as well as public comments on these proposed guidelines. Although much of the information linked to by this page is located on the official Federal Trade Commission website, COPPA.org does a good job of collecting the information all in one place, and making it accessible to a diverse audience.
