Contents: The Columbia Journal of Asian Law, published by Columbia University, is the successor to the Journal of Chinese Law as of 1996 and still has a heavy emphasis on China. The website is essentially divided into the current issue (v.13, no. 2, Fall 1999, as of examination) and back issues. Selecting "Back issues" retrieves tables of contents for vols. 1-13 (although vols. 11-12 are inexplicably lacking). From here the full text of the articles may be retrieved. Articles tend to be on trade issues, the democratization process in China, and legal reform. Several special issues have been devoted to Hong Kong and Taiwan, and recent issues contain contributions on the Korean constitutional court and the establishment of a stock market in post-Communist Cambodia. |
