Contents: This is the website of the National School Boards Association (NSBA), Council of School Attorneys, which posts news and developments in the intersection of education and law, from the perspective of attorneys representing school districts. The "What's New" section gives summaries of current cases and tracking of cases at the U.S. Supreme Court; these can be accessed by topic (e.g. athletics, religion, special education, liability). NSBA amicus curiae briefs submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court and Circuit Courts of appeals, going back to the 1980s, may be viewed. Current hot topics are religious activity, school vouchers, First Amendment issues, and safety. For a fee the user can receive a newsletter, and other documents, or join an e-mail group. Other publications can be ordered online for about $35, with a discount for members. Links are provided to other NSBA websites, general law-related sites, federal and state governments, and education sites. The entire website is searchable, with clear instructions.
