Contents: The Aboriginal Justice Learning Network is comprised of representatives of the Canadian national justice system as well as Native communities (including Inuit and Metis), judges, law enforcement, community workers and youth. Administered through the Canadian Ministry of Justice, it promotes restorative justice and alternatives to incarceration consistent with Native traditions, including diversion programs, community sentencing, and mediation, and by supporting tribal courts. The website, searchable and available in English or French, is mainly informational, advertising funding sources and previous projects and conferences. Publications and videos can be ordered for free. |
