Contents: The Migration Policy Institute (MPI) is a Washington, D.C.-based think tank that studies the movement of people worldwide. MPI analyzes, develops, and evaluates migration and refugee policies at local, national and international levels. The work of the MPI centers on four research areas: migration management, refugee protection and international humanitarian response, North American borders and migration agenda, and immigrant settlement and integration. Each of these research initiatives is described in detail in the Research section of the site. Information on related MPI projects is linked from the Research section as well. Another major component of the site is the Publications section. MPI’s published work is organized by year and will soon be accessible by subject. Many of these works are available in PDF. The site also offers links to news items and information on past MPI events, including summaries, panelist bios and handouts. Site searching is available via a basic search function and a site map. The site has a clean, professional appearance without excessive color or graphics. |
