Contents: The National Asian Pacific American Legal Consortium (NAPALC) was founded in 1991 as a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization. NAPALC seeks “to advance the legal and civil rights of Asian Pacific Americans through litigation, public education and public policy.” The website consists of two major sections: Navigation Areas and Program Areas. Under Navigation Areas, users will find information about NAPALC, its history, mission, events, etc. This section includes the Publications and Resources component that provides links to various NAPALC documents including annual reports, audits, briefings, and transcripts of Congressional testimony. The Program Areas offer significant content organized within each of the broad program topics NAPALC addresses, including affirmative action, language rights and welfare reform, among others. Within each area is original content discussing current issues, as well as action alerts and press releases. Additional resources include links to relevant websites and other items such as the hate crimes incident reporting form. NAPALC makes available briefs it has filed in various cases. |
